3. Introduction of the thesis
The thesis studied the following 4 areas:
+ Studies in PRRS epidemic happening in some localities in the north of Vietnam. Identify
and define the incidence rate of swine PRRS killed when caught PRRS.
+ Pathological characteristics of pig with PRRS: is mainly clinical symptoms of disease,
illness, generating differential. Identify some bacteria secondary agents, generating
pathogenic.
+Research some indicators hematology when pig with PRRS; change erythrocyte,
leukocyte; change GOT, GPT and change the pig’s blood plasma protein.
+ Application of immune tissue culture (Immunohistochemistry – IHC) to detect PRRSV.
4. Contributions on the academic issues and of the doctoral thesis
The initial research about systematic cnilical symptoms, the transformation can be
represented in the bodies of pig with PRRS. Which can be distinguished from the other lung
disease in pigs. Works has announced the results of change targets, hematology, and multi
organ failure status of pig with PRRS. For the first time successfully used the immune tissue
culture techniques (IHC) to diagnose and define the PRRS of swine virus in tissues.
