The focus of this study was on the effects of implementing graphic organizers to teach reading to the students at Military Medical University. The aims of carrying out this action research were two – fold: (1) to investigate the current situation and attitudes of the learning reading of students at Military Medical University; (2) to find out how much graphic organizers affect students’ reading comprehension. The Action Research consists of three main stages: Pre – improvement stage, Trying – out stage and Post – improvement stage. In the first stage, the initial questionnaire and initial students DRA (Development Reading Assessment) were conducted to collect ideas from students. Then the causes of the problems were found out by trainers and data collected from professional books or journals for ideas and suggestions. In the second stage, strategies were designed for improvement. In the final stage, the Try – out was evaluated by the final questionnaire and final students DRA to illustrate the changes have been made. The findings from the study indicated that using graphic organizers to improve students’ reading comprehension could be a realistic solution
