The study was carried out with an attempt to have an insight in learner’ evaluation of the ESP course-book English for Marine Engine Students and Ship’ Engineers at Marine Engine Department – Vietnam Maritime University (VIMARU). It is expected that the study will make a contribution to the improvement of the course-book for the following courses as well as the development of ESP teaching and learning at VIMARU next time. The study consists of three parts: introduction, development and conclusion. The introduction part introduces the information on the background, the rationale, the aims, the research question, the scope, the method and the design of the study. The development part includes three chapters Chapter 1 provides the relevant theories related to textbook, course-book and materials and course-book evaluation. Chapter 2 introduces the context of the study and describes the methodology employed in the study. Chapter 3 presents and discusses the findings that arise from the data collected and then recommendations for further improvement of the course-book are presented. The conclusion part summarizes the study and limitations and suggestions for further researches are given
