Một số tính từ bất qui tắc:

+ bad (badly) – worse – the worst + little – less – the least

+ happy – happier – the happiest +far – further – the furthest
+ big – bigger – the biggest + clever – cleverer – the cleverest
+ hot – hotter – hottest + polite – politer – the politest
+ narrow – narrower – the narrowest + handsome – handsomer – the handsomest
c. So sánh bằng:
S1 + BE/V + AS + ADJ/ADV + AS + S2
Eg: Hung can swim as well as Nam
Lan can types as quickly as her isster can
S1 + BE / V + AS/SO + ADJ/ADV + AS + S2 (thế phủ định)
Eg: My brother doesn’t get up as early as I do.
