Christmas is very important festival in Britain and the USA. Christmas Day is
celebrated on December 25
th
every year. The night before this is called Christmas Eve
and the day after is called Boxing Day. At Christmas, people give presents and send
Christmas cards to each other. They put special Christmas trees in their homes and
decorate them with colorful lights and other pretty things. Children believe that Santa
Claus visits them and brings them presents at night. many people go to the church at
Christmas and sing carols. On Christmas Day, a special Christmas dinner is eaten,
usually with roast turkey and hot pudding ( a kind of cake made with dried fruit).
