Chelsea and Andrew knew Mother’s Day was coming soon. They wanted to do something special. But,
what could it be? Mom likes flowers, they thought. Chelsea said that they cold use their allowance to buy their
mom some daisies. Daisies were her favorite flower. Andrew thought her mom would like something sweet.
Maybe candy, he thought. They could buy mom some candy. They were thinking, and thinking. “ Those things
are nice” , said Chelsea, “ But they will not last long!” Then Andrew said, “ Let’s make her something that will last
a long time!” Chelsea ran to her room and came out with paper, ribbons, glue and scissors. She and Andrew
went to work. They cut, and they pasted. When they were done they had a beautiful poster. They wrote about all
the things that their mom did that was special. On Mother’s Day, their mom was in the kitchen. Chelsea and
Andrew quietly entered the room.
“ Surprise,” they shouted, with big smiles on their faces.
“ Happy Mother’s Day!”
Then they gave their mom the best present of all. It was a beautiful poster and it said: Every Day is Mother’s Day
We Love You!
