This study investigated the potential role of pronunciation websites as a means to improve students’ competence in pronunciation. Thirty students of grade 10 at a high school were selected to participate in the research. The participants were divided into two homogeneous groups (the control and experimental one) based on their scores of the pre-tests in pronunciation (listening and speaking). All the students came from the same linguistic background and they shared the same teacher and teaching contents. However, the two groups received different treatments. The experimental group was taught using pronunciation websites, while the control one was taught with conventional technique. After two months, the post-tests, including listening and speaking and a questionnaire were administered. The analysis of the data collected revealed that the students of experimental group had an overall positive attitude towards using pronunciation websites in learning pronunciation and they made more progress than the ones in control groups. However, it appears that this improvement is not significant enough to conclude that using websites is surely the better choice than the conventional technique
