Writing, like other language skills is very important in language teaching and learning process. However, this productive skill is not an easy one to master. When teaching writing skill to tenth grade students at Thuan Thanh 2 high school, it has been found that my students are not so good at writing skill. Therefore, the study regarding tenth graders’ writing skill was conducted. In the study, the students’ attitudes towards writing and common errors in language and idea organization were explored. With these findings, some effective strategies have been recommended to Giúp teachers of English deal with their students’ problems. With my findings and my suggestions for teaching paragraph writing for the tenth graders at Thuan Thanh 2 high school, I hope that the teachers of English at the school will have a basic background of students to apply a suitable way of teaching in order Giúp them to overcome their problems
