This study focuses on designing a task-based ESP reading syllabus for the third year students at Hai Duong Central College of Pharmacy (HCCP) to fulfill the need of an appropriate and motivating ESP reading syllabus of teachers and students at this college. The study consists of three main parts of which the first part presents the rationale, aims and objectives, scope, methods and structure of the study. The following part with three chapters gives literature review, major findings as well as proposed task-based ESP reading syllabus. In the last part, limitations and suggestions for further researches are presented as well. The proposed task-based syllabus is hoped to meet the students' needs as well as the training objectives of HCCP and will make improvement for the current teaching and learning ESP situation at the college
