The researcher’s underlying aim in carrying out this research is to examine the effect of cohesion teaching on students’ reading comprehension; therefore an action research was conducted to achieve the aim. Once the theoretical background for the study was finalized, the researcher began designing the data collection instruments, which included two questionnaires, a pre-test, a post-test and field notes and observation of the experimental group. The overall result was that the reading skill of the experimental group did greatly benefit from the intervention
