1. Past simple tense: ( last, ago, yesterday,...)
- To talk about past activities
a. (+) V-ed / irregular verbs
Lan visited Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum last year.
b. (-) didn't + V
Lan didn't visit Ho Chi minh's Mausleum last year.
c. (?) Did + S + V ?
Did Lan visit Ho Chi Ming's Mausoleum last year? (Yes, she did/ No, she didn't)
- With WISH
a. I wish you had a longer vacation.
b. I wish I were older.
c. They wish they stayed in Hue.
2. The Present perfect ( for, since, just, recently, already, many times, yet, ever,......)
a. (+) have / has + V3
I have learned English for 4 years.
b. (-) haven't / hasn't + V3
I haven't learned English for 4 years.
c. (?) Have/ Has + S + V3 ?
Have you learned English for 4 years? (Yes, I have / No, I haven't)
3. Direct and reported speech
- Lời nói gián tiếp( Reported speech) là tường thuật lại ý của người nói.
- Khi muốn chuyển lời nói trực tiếp sang lời nói gián tiếp, ta cần lưu ý đến một số thay đổi sau:
+ Lùi thì động từ (Changes in tenses of verbs)
- Simle present -> Simple past.
" I feel sick" -> He said he felt sick.
- Present continuous -> Past continuous
" I'm writing a letter" -> He said he was writing a letter.
- Simple past+Present perfect -> Past perfect

Enjoy, like, hate, love, suggest, ...... + V-ing
o I like playing soccer.
6 . Tag- questions
o You like watching sports, don't you?
o You don't like watching sports, do you?
7 . Modals with IF:
o If you want to improve your English, we can help you.
8 . Conditional sentences: type 1 If + present, will + verbs
o If we work hard, we will make this beach a clean and beautiful place again.
9 . Conditional sentences: type 2: If + past tense, would/ could/ might + vebrs
o If you saw a UFO, what would you do?
o If I were him, I would tell the trust.
10 . Relative clauses
who/ which/ whom/ whose: Là đại từ liên hệ được dùng để nối mệnh đè chính với mệnh đề phụ
a. WHO : chỉ người, làm chủ ngữ cho mệnh đề liên hệ
The man is Mr. Pike. He is standing overthere.
o The man who is standing overthere is Mr Pike.

b. WHOM: chỉ người, làm tân ngữ cho mệnh đề liên hệ
The woman is my aunt. You saw that woman yesterday.
o The woman whom you saw yesterday is my aunt.
( WHOM có thể bỏ đi : The woman you saw yesterday is my aunt.)
c. WHICH: chỉ vật, làm chủ ngữ hoặc tân ngữ cho mệnh đề liên hệ
The book is very interesting. That book is on the table.
o The book which is on the table is very interesting.
d. WHOSE: thay thế cho tính từ sở hữu : my, her, his ...
The girl is pretty. Her eyes are brown.
o The girl whose eyes are brown is pretty.
11. Adjectives: Adjective + that clause:
o I am very glad that you have learned by heart all new words.

3.We can (read, to read, reading, readed) easily in the daylight.
4.Vietnamese people are very (friend, friendless, friendly, friendship)and hospitable.
5.It seem difficult for us (go, to go, went, gone) abroard at the moment.
6.There used (be, to be, being, been) a movie theater here, but it closed a long time ago.
7.I come from Vietnam so I'm not used to (drive, drove, driven, driving) on the left.
8.The children are playing (happy, happily, happiness, unhappy) in the schoolyard.
9.(What, How, Which, Where) clothes do you prefer, T.shirt or pullover?
10.My uncle was a(music, musical, musicaly, musician).he had a large collection of musical instruments .
11.Nguyen Du is considered a famous Vietnamese (poetry, poem, poet, poetic).

V . Complete the sentences with correct form of verbs
