The coursebook “English for Finance” (Cao Xuân Thiều, 2008, Publisher of Finance) for the 2nd year students of financial accounting at Ha Hoa Tien university has been evaluated based on the criteria proposed by Hutchinson and Waters (1987). The findings of the study come from two different data collection instruments: survey questionnaires for the 2nd year students and graduate students of financial accounting; unstructured interviews for the ESP teachers who have been using the coursebook. The findings show that the coursebook is partially suitable to the course objectives in terms of aims, contents, and methodology. It could be continuously used for incoming courses at the university with some adaptation for its improvement in terms of aims, contents, and methodology.
