This study investigates the difficulties in learning reading English for Banking and Finance at Ho Chi Minh city University of Industry (HUI) Nghe An campus and to find out possible solutions to the found difficulties in order to Giúp students of Finance and Banking at HUI Nghe An campus in learning readig ESP in effective ways.The study was undertaken among ESP teachers and 2nd year students of Finance and Banking at HUI Nghe An campus. Statistical analysis revealed that most of students are coping with various difficulties in learning reading , i.e. do not devote much time and energy to the skills, so this hinders them from achieving the possible reading ability. In addition, the students show their passive learning habits that prevent them from bringing their banking knowledge to the interpretation of the texts. Moreover, students’ learning are in an ineffective ways. Some solutions are suggested to deal with these problems including raising awareness of the students of the importance of reading in their future job, improving teachers’ specialized knowledge of Banking and Finance at HUI Nghe An campus, improving students’ reading purpose, awaring of the students’ needs and improving reading course books. The result of the study can be some Giúp to teachers who teach ESP in general and teachers who teach reading to students of Finance and Banking at HUI Nghe An campus in particular
