The number of learners of English as an international means of communication increases hand in hand with the number of non-native English speaking teachers (NNESTs) of English as a Second Language (ESL) and the number of Native English-Speaking teachers (NESTs). In the context of Viet Nam, more and more native English teachers are being employed in order to increase the quality of teaching and learning English of both teachers and students. However, there are hardly any researches about native English teachers. This study; thus, investigates the teachers’ and 6th form students’ attitudes towards learning English with native English teachers. Data of the research were collected through means of survey and semi-structured interview; the results show that most of the students and teachers have positive attitudes towards native English teachers. They agree that native English teachers have their own strength: language competence, teaching styles, creating motivation; however, they also have some weaknesses such as their inability to solve all the problems of the students, and poor class management
