S + do/does not+ V
I don't learn English.

They don't watch TV.
Do/Does + S + V?
Do you learn English?
Does he swim well?
Do they watch TV? The simple present expresses an action in the present taking place once, never,
always or several times. It is also used for actions that take place one after another
and for actions that are set by a timetable or schedule. The simple present also
expresses facts in the present.
Note: We don't add -s after negative and question sentences.

USEs of Present Simple
1. Present Simple expresses truths, habits, repeated actions, unchanging
situations, emotions, and wishes.
 The sun rises in the east. (a truth)
 I wake up at seven o'clock. (a habit)
 She meets me every Sunday. (a repeated actions)
 I work in New York. (an unchanging situation)
 I love blue flowers. (an emotion)
 He wants to pass his last exam (a wish)

2. Negative and question forms use DOES (=the third person of the auxiliary
'DO') + the infinitive of the verb.
 He wants.
 Does he want?
 He does not want.
3. Verbs ending in -y : the third person changes the -y to -ies:
 fly - flies
 cry - cries
Exception: if there is a vowel before the -y:
 play - plays
 pray - prays
 destroy - destroys
4. Add -es to verbs ending in:-ss, -x, -sh, -ch:
 He passes
 She catches
 He fixes
 It pushes
Examples:
1. Third person singular with -s or -es
a. He goes to school every morning.
b. She understands English.
c. It mixes the sand and the water.
d. He tries very hard.
e. She enjoys playing the piano.
