Modern cinema audiences expect to see plenty of thrilling scenes in action films. These

In Vietnam, International Women’s Day is an important event and celebrated with gusto –
with women of all ages seemingly being showered with flowers and presents. In contrast, in the UK
it isn’t officially (1) at all. Indeed, I have to confess that before I came to Vietnam
I had never even (2) of International Women’s Day, let alone celebrated it. That

having been said, according to the IWD website, this year more than 116 events

To get a female perspective on women in the UK I spoke to a number of British
