- Chỉ người nói số ít.

Khi đại từ nhân xưng làm túc từ, thì đại từ nhân xưng này đứng sau động từ chính của câu.
VD: I don't like him.

Tôi không thích anh ta.


She has lost it. Chị ấy đã làm mất nó rồi.
Tom saw them there yesterday. Tom đã thấy họ ở đó hôm qua.

Các đại từ sở hữu được dùng để thay thế cho các đối tượng bị sở hữu đã được nói tới trước đó,
hoặc trong ngữ cảnh mà cả người nói và người nghe đều biết về đối tượng được nói tới trong
câu chuyện. Các đại từ sở hữu luôn luôn đứng một mình (không có danh từ theo sau).
VD: Your book is new, but mine is old. Quyển sách của bạn thì mới nhưng quyển sách
của tôi thì cũ.“mine” = “my book”
I like your car, but I don't like his. Tôi thích chiếc xe hơi của anh nhưng tôi không
thích chiếc xe hơi của anh ấy. “his” = “his car”
Her shoes are expensive. Mine are cheap. Giày của cô ấy đắt tiền. Giày của tôi rẻ
tiền. “mine” = “my shoes”

+ Use: Diễn tả một sự thật ở hiên tại, một quy luật, một chân lý hiển nhiên
Diễn tả một thói quen,môt sự việc lập đi lập lại ở hiện tại, một phong tục.
Note: Trong thời hiện tại thường, các ngôi (thứ nhất số ít/nhiều, thứ 3 số nhiều) được chia
như ví dụ tổng quát 1/ trên đây, riêng ngôi thứ 3 (ba) số ít (He, she, it - Tom, John, Hoa ...),
ta cần lưu ý các quy tắc sau:
1. Phải thêm "s" vào sau động từ ở câu khẳng định. ( V+s)
Ví dụ: He likes reading books.
She likes pop music.
- Câu phủ định (Xem ví dụ tổng quát 2/ trên đây )
- Câu nghi vấn? (Xem ví dụ tổng quát 2/ trên đây)
2. Ngoài việc "s" vào sau động từ, ta phải đặc biệt chú ý những trường hợp sau:
2.1. Những động từ (Verbs) tận cùng bằng những chữ sau đây thì phải thêm
"ES".
