Liz: Xin lỗi. Em muốn gửi lá thư này đi Mỹ. Bao nhiêu tiền ạ?
Nhân viên: 9 500 đồng.
Liz: Và em cần một vài phong bì. Mấy phong bì này giá bao nhiêu ạ?
Nhân viên: 2 000 đồng
Liz: Vâng. Em sẽ lấy chúng. Xin hỏi tất cả là bao nhiêu tiền ạ?

=> Hoa needs some local stamps and overseas stamps, and a phone card.
b) Why does she need stamps for overseas mail? (Tại sao cô ấy cần tem cho các thư gửi đi
nước ngoài?)
=> Because she has a penpal in the USA and she sends him letters regularly.
c) Why does she need a phone card? (Tại sao cô ấy cần một thẻ điện thoại?)
=> Because she needs it to phone her parents once a week.
3. Complete the dialogue. Then make similar dialogues; use the words in the box.

5. Answer the following questions.
(Trả lời các câu hỏi sau.)

a) How much is it to mail a local letter in Viet Nam? (Ở Việt Nam gửi một lá thư trong nước
giá bao nhiêu tiền?)
=> A local letter in Vietnam costs eight hundred dong.
b) How much is a letter to America? (Gửi một lá thư đi Mỹ giá bao nhiêu tiền?)
=> A letter to America costs about ten thousand dong.
c) What does the post office sell apart from stamps? (Ngoài các con tem, Bưu điện còn bán
những gì?)
=> Apart from stamps, the post office also sells envelopes, postcards, phone cards, writing
pads, newspapers and magazines.
d) Do you write to anyone overseas? Who? (Bạn có viết thư cho ai ở nước ngoài không? Ai?)
=> Yes, I do. I sometimes write to my friends/ my uncle/ my cousin ... in the USA/ Canada/
Japan/ ...
=> No, I don't.
