Lesson 5 (C1- 2-3)
I. Objectives:

- By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to use the simple present < How>
questions and “ by car/ bike/ train” to talk about transportation.
II.Language contents:
- Grammar: Simple present tense.
- Vocabulary: bike, motorbike, bus, car, train, plan.
III. Techniques: guessing game, what and where, substitution drill, noughts and
crosses, pair works, group works.
IV Teaching aids: lesson plan, textbook, pictures page 78, 79 and cassette.
V. Time: Allotted 45 minutes.
VI. Procedures:
1. Warm up(5’):- Greeting
Guessing game
- Have Ss chooce a place in town ( factory, museum, post office, stadium…) and
complete the sentence strip.
- Control Ss to play a game.
I’m going to the…………….
Ex:
S1: Are you going to the bank?
S2: No, I am not.
S1: Are you going to the zoo?
S2: Yes, I am.
2.Check up(5’) talk about Chi& Ba & answer about you
-Do you live in the country?
-Is there a lake near your house?
3. New lesson(35’)
