1. Yes – No question. S + asked + O + if/whether + S + V…
*Ex: She asked me : “ Do you like him ?” -> She asked if/whether I liked him.
*Notes: Muốn đổi câu hỏi Yes – No (Yes – No questions) từ trực tiếp sang gián tiếp, ta cũng đổi ba yếu
tố giống như đổi câu trần thuật. Đổi đại từ (đại từ nhân xưng, đại từ sỡ hữu), đổi thì của động từ, đổi một
số trạng từ chỉ thời gian, nơi chốn, và dùng if hoặc whether để tường thuật lại câu hỏi.
2. W – h questions: S + asked + O + W – h questions + S + V…

*Ex: She said : “ where are you going, Tom?” -> She asked Tom where he was going.

1.A noun clause. S + be + adj + noun clause (that clause)
*Ex: I am afraid that I can’t accept this assignment.
2. An infinitive. It + be + adj + to – infinitive
*Ex: It’s nice to talk to you.
VI. PHRASES OFPURPOSE.
1. In order to In order to + V(bare – inf)
*Ex: She arrived early in order to get a good seat.

VII. COMPOUND NOUN.
