Session 1: YOURSELF
SELF-INTRODUCTION:
+ Say Good morning/ Good afternoon (with smiling face)
+ Give your name,
+ Say about your family (how many people in your family, their work…)
+ your work (what company, in what business, your position in the company, what responsibility you
take, what you do every day…)
+ your hobby: what you like doing in your free time

1. Hobbies
- What do you often do in your free time? – Reading love story book
- When did you start these hobbies? – After working hours
- Why do you like these activities? – It makes me relax after working hours and enjoy the love
2. Housework
- Do you share housework in the family? What kind of housework do you often do?
Yes, all the members in my family share housework to each other. I am a woman in my family, so I
often do cooking and cleaning house.
- Do you think wife and husband should share housework in the family? Why?
Yes, I think so because 2 people can do housework more quickly and effectively.
- Who should teach the children?
I think father should teach the children because father is a person who can make the children obey.
3. Your favorite food
- What kinds of food do you like? The food I cook myself at home because it is cheap, delicious and
good for health.
- Do you think your diet is healthy? Does it include all the four food groups (grains, fruits and
vegetable, protein - fish, meat, egg; fat and sugar)? I think so.
- Do you like fastfood? Do you think fastfood is healthy enough?

4. Self-development plan
- What is your goal at work (eg: you are aiming at becoming the manager of your department/
getting a higher position in your company)?
- What do you have to do to achieve that goal? (learn skills, take further education, work harder,

1. Your shopping
- Where do you often go shopping? What do you often buy?
-> I often go shopping at traditional market near my house.
-> I often buy food and foodstuff such as meat and fresh vegetables.
- Do you prefer traditional market or supermarket? Why?
-> I prefer supermarket because it is more comfortable and cleaner, you can buy everything here and
you can pay for everything by credit card.
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional market and of the supermarket?
-> The advantages of traditional market are: cheap price, fresh food & foodstuff (giá rẻ, lương thực và
thực phẩm tươi)
-> The disadvantages of traditional market are: dirty and confusion (bẩn và lộn xộn)
-> The advantages of supermarket are clean, safety and confortable (sạch sẽ, an toàn và tiện lợi)
-> The disadvantages of supermarket are expensive price and flozen food and foodstuff (giá đắt và
lương thực thực phẩm đông lạnh)

2. Public transport
- What is the most popular means of transport in HN?
->Motocycle is the most popular means of transport in HN
- What public transport means is most widely used in HN? Do you think it is effective?
-> Bus is a most widely public transport means usded in HN

-> The main causes of traffic jams in big cities is there are a lot of private vehicles while the traffic
system is in bad organized (lý do chính của tình trạng tắc đường là vì quá nhiều phương tiện giao
thông cá nhân trong khi hệ thống giao thông không được tổ chức tốt )
- How are people affected by the bad traffic?
-> People are affected by populated environment especially noise pollution by the bad traffic (con
người bị ảnh hưởng bởi môi trường ô nhiễm đặc biệt là ô nhiễm tiếng ốn vì tình trạng giao thông kém)
- What do you suggest to improve the traffic in your city?
-> I suggest to reduce private vehicles and improve the service of public vehicles

Education
1. Language learning
- What do you think about the importance of learning a foreign language? Why?
+ Make me speak another language (each nation speak particular language, so I must speak the
native language when travelling to other country)
+ Make me easy to get information from foreign book (I can get information directly more exactly
when read from the translated book).
+ Make me confident when communicate with foreigner.
- What are your difficulties in learning English?
+ Remember vocabulary.
+ Different from the structure of Vietnamese and English eg: In Vietnamese, adj is behind noun but in
E, adj is in front of noun.


+ Difficult to speak and pronounce exactly.
- What do you do to improve your use of English in speaking/ writing/ listening/ reading?
+ Training every day.
+ Read the English book or magazine frequently.
+ Use English at most in daily life eg: use phone or computer in English.
