- T explains: the ordinal numbers are used to show the dates in months . They are
formed by adding “th” after cardinal numbers.some exceptions:
First (1st): thứ nhất, ngày mùng một
Second (2nd):thứ hai, ngày mùng hai
Third (3rd): thứ ba, ngày mùng ba
Fifth (5th) : thứ năm, ngày mùng năm
Ninth (9th) : thứ chín, ngày mùng chín
Twelfth (12th) : thứ 12, ngày 12
Twentieth (20th) :thứ 20, ngày 20
- T notes the way to read and write the suffix (th)

- Ask the others to practice orally.
- Check Ss’ writing on the BB and correct the mistakes if necessary.
- Get the class to read the months aloud.
