1. Mệnh đề, cụm từ chỉ lý do ( vì, bởi vì, do ) :
Because + S + V # because of ( vì, bời vì ) + V – ing / Noun
Note : Due to / owing to được dùng như because of
2. Mệnh đề, cụm từ chỉ sự tương phản ( dù, mặc dù )
Although / even though / even if + S +V # in spite of / despite + V – ing / Noun
Ex : Although he didn’t study, he succeeded. ( có although thì không có
but )

3. Mệnh đề, cụm từ chỉ kết quả ( vì thế, cho nên, kết quả là ) : so,
therefore, consequently, as a result.
