Unit 8: OUT AND ABOUT
Lesson 7( C3-4 )

I. Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to read a text about Road Signs to
understand Must and Mustn’t for obligation / prohibition.
II. Language contents:
- Grammar: Modal verb: Must and Must not / Mustn’t.
- Vocabulary: dangerous, accident, intersection, slow down, go fast, warn, help.
III. Techniques: make the sentences, true- false prediction, picture drill, ask and
answer, pair works, group works.
IV. Teaching aids: lesson plan, textbook, pictures page 90, 91 and cassette.
V. Time: Allotted 45 minutes.
VI. Procedures:
1. Warm up(3’)Using can and can’t to write the sentences.
- Divide the class into 2 groups.
- Have Ss go to the board and write the sentences, using: can and can’t.
- Control Ss to play a game.
- Correct the mistakes.
2. Check up (3’) Write vocabulary and make sentences
