*Awareness
Male perspective is less awareness of health when they have illness ‘When I
* have HIV infection, I don’t know because I still healthy and strong’ While
female group said ‘I don’t know how I infected because I don’t have risk
behaviour’
knowledge
*HIV/AIDS
Participants lack HIV/AIDS information as Male group ‘I know that who has
* HIV/AIDS so definitely die’ While ‘I live far away from town so I don’t know
about HIV/AIDS because most of the time I work at farm’ female group
and stigma
*Discrimination
Most of concern is discrimination from friends, work, community, and family
of PLWHA disclose themselves when they have low immunity and
*Most
have OI, thus delayed the treatment. Factors associated with disclosure
were socio-demographic characteristic, fear, stigma and discrimination.
Therefore, HIV/AIDS knowledge including treatment, support and service
information is crucial recommendation to implement HIV/AIDS project. In
addition, activities implementing to breakdown social misunderstanding
of HIV/AIDS in community, and increase ARV center allowing PLWHA to
direct treatment is also very crucial.
