Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son learnt to play chess by watching his parents in their home.
His parents were surprised that Son understood how to play because little Truong Son was
only three years old at the time. Although chess is a difficult game, a month later he beat his
parents at their favourite game. At the age of four, Truong Son took part in the national young
chess championship. Then at seven, he won a silver madal at the under-nine national chess
championship. He was later chosen to take part in the world young chess championship in
Spain in 2000. Now he is Vietnam's youngest champion. Born in Mekong Delta of Vietnam,
Truong Son is a great surprise to his parents. They are both teachers, earning less than US$
100 a month, and cannot explain how their child can play so well. His father thinks that Son

Thomas A. Edison was born in Milan, Ohio, on February 11
th
, 1984.His family moved
to Port Huron, Michigan, when he was seven years old. Surprisingly, he attended school for
only two months. His mother, a former teacher, taught him a few things, but Thomas was
mostly self-esucated. His natural curiosity led him to sart experimenting at a young age.
Thomas Alve Edison lit up the wrold with his invention of the electric light.Although

weeks he created something new.
