I. Objectives : After the lesson, students can introduce themseleves and reply the introduction.
II. Language contents :
1.Grammar : - Past simple tense.
- past simple with “wish”
2.Vocabulary : - correspond (v) ,be impressed by ,friendliness

V. Procedures : “trung thu”festival DucThanh school
1.Warm up : brainstorming
- T asks sts :
 If your friends visit you, where do
you take him (or her) to ?
 What activities would you invite him resort
(or her) to take place ?
- T guides to the passage .You will listen to a passage about Lan and her penpal’s trip in
HaNoi and and then answer the questions :
a.Is it the first time that Maryam come to VN ?
b. Where did she visit in Hanoi ?
T: Turn on the cassette  Sts listen  answer the questions
Sts read the passage carefully and do the exercise in the book
T: calls some Sts read the answers loudly.

V. Steps of teaching :
1.Warm up: One student says abont the trip of Lan and her penpal.
2. Students play games “Introduce myself” devide class into 4 groups
- Each student of a group says 4 sentences.
- My name is _____ - I like ....
- I’m ____ years old
- Thers are 4 members in my family
- The second student reprots what the first student said.
3. Speak:
a. Pre - Speak
- Teacher introduces the situation: Nga is talking to Maryam. They are waiting for Lan
outside the school. Now make the dialogue in order
b. While - Speak:
- Students do the exercise and compare with her friends’ans wer.
- Teacher gives the keys.

- Students practice the dialogue.
- Teacher gives the situation which similar with the above dialogue of one student and
one of the person in the book and make the dialogue.
- Teacher asks students to read the imformation in the book carefully
- Teacher models :
- Student : Hello, you must be Yoko
- Yoko : That’s right . I am.
- Student : Please to meet you. Let me introduce my self . I’m Dung.
- Yoko: Please to meet you, Dung. Are you one’s of Minh’s classmates.
- Student: Yes, I am . Are you enjoying your stay in Vietnam ?
- Yoko: Oh, yes, very much .Vietnamse people are very friendly and Phan Thiet is very
interesting city

Period 6: ( Cont ) LANGUAGE FOCUS
I. Objectives:
Sts review the past simple tense and learn about unreal condition in the present
using with “ wish”
II. Languge contents :
1. Grammar : - The past simple tense : S + V_ ed / V 2
- Wish sentence : S + wish + S + V ( past subjuntive )
2. Vocabulary :
III. Techniques : ask and answer, Say about pictures, word cue drill.
IV. Teaching aids : book, chark, pictures
V. Procedures :
- Warm up : Sts show their letter before the class.
* Activity 1 : T asks Sts to pay attention to the dialogue in the book.
A: What did Ba do on the wekend ?
B: He went to see the movie called “ Ghosts and Monters”
A: When did he see it ?
B: He saw it on Saturday afternoon at two o’clock.
- This is the dialogue between two sts about Ba’s weekend.
-Now, pairwork. use the information to make similar dialogue about Nga’s , Lan’s Nam’s
, and Hoa’s weekend.
- T asks sts to practice the model dialogue.
* Activity 2 :
- T gives sts the picture and introduces the lesson.
- Lan and her friends are holding a farewell party for Maryam.
- T asks sts to look at the box and match , according to the small pictures below.
- Sts do the exercise quikly and then one by one St reads thm aloud:
+ Lan and her friends bought some flowers for a farewell party for Maryam.
+ They made a cake for Maryam’s farewell party.
- T reviews the past simple tense by doing this exercise.
- T asks some more questions.

III. Techniques: guessing, fill in the gaps,ask and answer.
IV. Teaching aids: pictures, cassette player, books
V. Procedures:
1. Warm up: Apply the exercise3 ( language focus) T says the statement and sts use “wish” to talk
about their wishes. Then write them on the board.
Ex: You are not a doctor.  I w3ish I were a doctor.
2. Teacher shows the dress that she is wearing and asks “ what is it ?”
- Sts answer : It’s an Aodai.
? Is it a Vnese traditional clothing ?
- T introduces the lesson.T asks Sts to look at the pictures , their clothing and decide where
they are from.
* She comes from Japan. She is wearing a Kimono.
* She comes from Vietnam. She is wearing an Aodai.
* He comes from Scotland. He is wearing a kilt.
* She comes from India . She is waering a sari.
* He comes from The USA He is waering a Cowboy.
* She comes from Saudi ( Arabia ) . She is wearing a veil.
- Aodai is traditional clothing of Vietnamese.
3. T turns on the tape  Sts listen and get main information.
- T explains some new words
- Sts read the vocabulary.
- Sts read the text silently then finish the exercise below.
- Sharing and comparing.
- T and Sts correct.
a. For a long time the aodai has been the subject of poems, novels and songs.
b. The aodai is describeas a long silk tunic with slits up the sides worn over loose pants.

1. Warm up: T asks and Sts answer about Aodai.
2. Pre - speak: In the last lesson, we got information about Aodai- the traditional dress of
Vietnamese. To day we will learn about the casual clothes that we wear daily.
- Sts do the exercise in pairs,
- T points to each picture and asks : what is it? Sts answer.
- T asks : What do you usually wear on the weekend?
Why do you wear these clothes?
- T point to the questions in the box  some Sts answer.
3. While - speak: Sts ask and answer in groups using these questions
- T goes around and help sts to express their idea.
- T encourges Sts to make questions about clothes for special occasions.
- T gives a question for example: what type of clothing do you wear on Tet holiday?
why?
4. Post - speak:
- After Sts practice asking and answering by using those qusetions.
- T calls two Sts to go around class and have a survey about casual clothes, favorite
clothes, school uniform and clothes for special occasions
- Sts report the result of the survey.
5. Homework:
- Answer those questions in your notebook/ practicing speaking.
- Prepare: calls the names of these clothes in listen part.
