Lịch sử phát triển:
Khoa Ngoại ngữ - Tin học Vabis Hồng Lam thuộc Trường Cao đẳng nghề Quốc tế Vabis Hồng
Lam được thành lập vào tháng 7/2007, để đáp ứng nhu cầu học tiếng Anh cho cộng đồng trong
khu vực huyện Tân Thành , vào tháng 3/2012 nhà trường thành lập Trung tâm Anh ngữ Vabis
Hồng Lam theo Quyết định số 84/QĐ-VBHL ngày 10/04/2013 của Hiệu trưởng Trường Cao
đẳng nghề Quốc tế Vabis Hồng Lam.
Chức năng, nhiệm vụ:
Khoa Ngoại ngữ - Tin học Vabis Hồng Lam có nhiệm vụ giảng dạy môn học Tiếng Anh trong
các chương trình đào tạo của nhà trường bao gồm chương trình dài hạn, ngắn hạn, doanh nghiệp,
cộng đồng, xuất khẩu lao động…
Thực hiện biên soạn chương trình đào tạo, giáo trình, bài giảng, xây dựng các mô hình học tập,
quản lý chất lượng đào tạo, quản lý đội ngũ giáo viên và công tác giảng dạy đảm bảo đạt được
mục tiêu chung của nhà trường.

Đào tạo, bồi dưỡng tiếng Anh cho đối tượng học viên nghề: tiếng Anh giao tiếp,
tiếng Anh kỹ thuật
Đào tạo, bồi dưỡng tiếng Anh cho người học có nhu cầu đi Xuất Khẩu Lao Động:
tiếng Anh giao tiếp Quốc tế, tiếng Anh kỹ thuật.

sẵng sàn đầu tư cho con em mình học tập, trau dồi, sử dụng tiếng Anh lưu loát như ngôn ngữ thứ
2. Số lượng thường xuyên theo học các chương trình đào tạo Anh văn giao tiếp đạt mức 750 học
viên vào thời điểm tháng 7/2013.
Đặc biệt Khoa ngoại ngữ đã được một số công ty lớn tín cậy và gửi nhân viên đến để hợp tác đào
tạo, bồi dưỡng cho CBCNV các khóa tiếng Anh giao tiếp doanh nghiệp, tiếng Anh giao tiếp
Quốc tế như công ty Cảng Bà Rịa Serece, Công ty CS Wind, Công ty Nhiệt Điện Phú Mỹ 3,
Công ty gạch Men Taicera, Công ty Dobla,…
Định hướng phát triển
Với mục tiêu xây dựng và phát triển, tạo môi trường học tiếng Anh giao tiếp
quốc tế, hướng người học phát triển toàn diện 4 kỹ năng: nghe, nói, đọc, viết.
Khoa ngoại ngữ - Tin học Vabis Hồng Lam luôn duy trì và phát triển, tạo
thương hiệu đào tạo Ngoại ngữ uy tín trong khu vực, là nơi lựa chọn hàng đầu
của quý phụ huynh và học viên:
Không ngừng tiếp cận các phương pháp dạy ngoại ngữ tiên tiến nhất.
Xây dựng đội ngũ giáo viên giỏi chuyên môn, tâm huyết trong sự nghiệp giáo dục.
Tăng cường chuyên nghiệp hóa trong công tác quản lý, giáo dục học sinh.
Đào tạo, bồi dưỡng nguồn nhân lực chất lượng cao, tích cực tham gia, tổ chức các
chương trình ngoại khóa cho học sinh.
Liên kết với đơn vị khảo thí Cambridge thường xuyên tổ chức các kỳ thi Quốc tế để đánh
giá mức độ tiến bộ của học sinh.
Đồng thời phát triển thêm các ngoại ngữ khác như Tiếng Nhật, tiếng Hàn.
Cơ sở vật chất, trang thiết bị dạy học
Khoa ngoại ngữ - Tin học Vabis Hồng Lam hiện tận dụng 20 phòng học với
sức chứa khoảng 15 - 25 học viên mỗi phòng. Các phòng học được trang bị
máy tính kết nối với máy chiếu để giảng dạy tiếng Anh bằng phương pháp
trực quan sinh động.
Phòng học được trang bị máy lạnh, tạo không khí mát mẻ cho người học.
Khoa ngoại ngữ có hơn 1000 đầu sách, tài liệu tham khảo cần
thiết phục vụ cho việc giảng dạy và học tập.

Course Description:
- Face2face is a course for Adults & young adults who need English for
work, for school, immigration, international certificates. The topics in
the book relate to daily life situations so that they help learners not
only to gain communication skill but also to get familiar with the
culture of the English people.
- This course is aimed to develop 4 skills in English. The main
emphasis throughout Face2face is on developing speaking and
listening skills. This course provides learners with communicative
skill in various situations.
- It takes 60 hours to complete the course of the first 5 units
(units 1 - 5). Face2face 1 has been designed to meet the needs of
both learners and teachers. It requires teachers to have not only
professional skills but also the knowledge of British, American
and English Speaking countries’ culture. It requires learners to have
at least a good basic level at the start, and the book from start,
and the book progresses fairly speedily. New language is introduced
systematically and recycled at regular intervals, so taking the course
will provide learners with the sense of progression and ensure regular

sounds in phrases, linked sounds, sentence stress.

+ English grammar: tenses (simple present, present
continuous), this, that, these, those…)
Understanding:
Students will broaden their mind with understanding of:
- English-speaking countries’ cultures, lifestyles through informative
reading passages and listening tasks.
- How to address people when you meet, American food and
clothing from informative reading passages and listening tasks.
Course Requirements and Recommendations:
- Participation and Contributions: As specific aspects of language
learning require frequency of interactive and communicative activities
in the classroom, students are expected to attend, and to be wellprepared prior to each class meeting, i.e. to do homework and to be
familiar with learning resources noted in the syllabus. They are
encouraged to participate in and make contributions to classroom
activities. An extra 5% of the final grade is given as a bonus to those
who do not miss any classes and/or actively participate in classroom
activities.
- Assignments: Students are expected to complete 5 short
assignments each of which counts for 5% of the final grade (the total
is 25%). Each assignment requires students to demonstrate their
reading and writing skills, vocabulary usage and grammar points.
These assignments will be completed either in the classroom or at
home. Details of each assignment will be discussed in the class prior
to the due date.
Suggested Assignment Formats:
- Short Assignment 1: A Multiple Choice Micro Test.
- Short Assignment 2: Writing (a short paragraph).

60% and above to be awarded the certificate or to meet the
requirements to enroll in the next level of English Language
Programs at Hong Lam.
